Arudra Darisanam or Arudra Darshan, also known as Tiruvoodal festival, in the Tamil month of Margazhi or Margali masam is a celebration of the cosmic dance of Lord Shiva. Arudra Darisanam 2010 or Arudra Darshan festival 2010 date is January 1, 2010 and December 22. Tiruvoodal festival commemorates the quarrel between Annamalaiyaar and Unnamulai Amman. During the festival, a mock quarrel is staged between Annamalaiyaar and Unnamulai Amman in front of Sundaramurthy Nayanar in Tiruvoodal Street. Tiruvoodal Street is the most auspicious place where the annual event is celebrated.
